Singer/actress Angeline Quinto joined thousands of believers and devotees yesterday for the celebration of the ‘Traslacion’ or the Procession of the Black Nazarene.
January 9 marks a special event in our predominantly Roman Catholic country, as thousands of the faithful flock the Quiapo and Manila areas for the annual Festival of the Black Nazarene. It’s always a thrilling sight as you see a near-endless mass of people praying and desperately trying to climb up the float where the idol is situated.
Angeline has been a part of the procession ever since the Black Nazarene granted her prayer to heal her sick mother.
Amidst the sea of people, Angeline braved the crowd and climbed up the float.
Check out her awe-inspiring devotion below:
As evidenced by the video, the ‘Traslacion’ is a highly anticipated event, as countless devotees still attest to the miraculous healing acts supposedly performed by the Black Nazarene idol. Their faith is a clear indication that almost 90% of Filipinos still consider themselves Catholic.
