“If Duterte failed to curb drugs in Davao as a Mayor” – Sen. Pangilinan angered netizens!!!

Recently, Senator Kiko Pangilinan has expressed doubt about the effectiveness of Duterte’s war on drugs campaign and this got the attention of the netizens.

On Facebook, Senator Pangilan said Duterte’s promise to stamp out the illegal drug problem in the country in 6-12 months is bound to fail.

The senator cited that experience of Duterte in Davao City wherein he failed to eliminate the drug problem in the city while using an iron-fist policy.
He cited the data posted by Sunstar Davao wherein over 4000 addicts and pushers surrendered in Davao City as a result of Malacanang’s OPLAN Tokhang.

He then posed these questions to the public for them to contemplate on….

If the Davao City anti illegal drugs campaign did not succeed in stamping out and eliminating pushers and addicts in Davao City under President Duterte’s 24 year stint as Mayor, what makes us think that the nationwide campaign against illegal drugs will succeed in 6 months (extended to another 6 months)?

If a mailed fist policy against illegal drugs did not succeed in eliminating the drug menace in a smaller area (one city) over a longer period of time (24 years), why will it succeed in a larger area (the entire country of over 100 cities and over 1000 municipalities) in a shorter period of time (3 to 6 to 12 months)?

He then urged the public and Duterte to give “Oplan Tokhang” a revisit and see if it needs some tweaking to make it work.

Perhaps we need to rethink the current approaches. Our people yearn for and deserve OPLANS that work.

The senators post has been receiving mixed reactions from netizens. Critics of Duterte praised Pangilinan for having the courage to speak, while many did not like it.

Check out the support Pangilinan receives on social media…

If Duterte’s shoot to kill is effective, then why of all those years, Davao has drug addictions. How many years did he serve there as a mayor? and until now, he is bragging that Davao is drug-free. That s a lie. He lies a lot in order to hide the truth.

Shotgun approach na walang base ang strategy ni DU30. Alam niyang Hindi magwowork at nag sinungaling Sa madlang Tao. Hindi mahirap basahin ito. Tama at logical ang analysis ni Kiko. Malaking panlilinlang ang strategy ng war on drugs. He was gaming everybody and took everybody for a ride.

Meanwhile, netizens castigates Senator Pangilinan for sharing a different view on Duterte’s war on drugs…

Mr. Pangilinan you should’ve implemented that long time ago. I think it’s better to come up with the best idea and implement it than just doing so much talk.

Kiko Pangilinan We are in a point of no return. The DRUGS are already dominated by powerful group of people or individuals that is in control of all 3 branches of government. This is already Cancer of society and we all know that a Aspirin doesn’t kill Cancer. Imagine 3 Million addicts or more and DRUG Syndicates are already segregated like a WEB in all Regions down to the Barangay level.
