A cameraman from a renowned television network was apprehended by police authorities in a drug buy-bust operation on Friday according to a report from GMA News’ Balitanghali.
The man was caught drug pushing in a local fast-food chain along Mother Ignacia Avenue, Quezon City. The man was identified as Anthony Martin who was working as a cameraman for ABS-CBN.
About P3,500 worth of shabu were confiscated from Martin along with six other packets of the substance. Martin denied the accusations of selling illegal drugs and said “Pinadadala lang sa akin, wala akong kinalaman doon”,
In a separate operation, police also arrested Martin’s supplier who was identified as Eduardo Abraham. Head of ABS-CBN’s Corporate Communications Kane Errol Choa released a statement following the arrest of Martin.
He said “ABS-CBN has a drug-free workplace policy and does not tolerate the use and distribution of illegal drugs by any of its employees. We will ensure that any of our employees proven to be engaging in illegal drugs will be subject to company policy,”
